Nirankar nun jaan ke jehrha maalak de gun ganda ey; Bauharh na hove jamna marna oh jan mukti panda ey. Nirankar nun jane jehrha usda paar utaara ey; Mang sake na lekha koi har pase chhutkara ey. Nirankar nun jaane jehrha khana peena sab parwaan; Nirankar nun jaane jehrha safla usda paan handaan. Nirankar nun jaane jehrha nahin akaarath kam koi; Nirankar nun jaane jehrha dukh rahe na gam koi. Bin vekhe de kaar kamaye bhull gya ey kul sansaar; Avtar guru na mehar kare je dis nahi sakda eh nirankar. |

The one who first knows the Formless God and then sings His praise; He transcends births and deaths and attains salvation. The one who knows the Formless God, he gets redeemed; None can ask for account of his deeds, he stands relieved everywhere. The one who knows the Formless God, all that he eats and drinks is worthy of acceptance; The one who knows the Formless God, everything he wears is worthy of its use. The one who knows the Formless God, none of his actions is aimless; The one who knows the Formless God, he has no pain and grief. The people of the world are performing rituals without perceiving God, the whole world has gone astray; Avtar says, the Formless God cannot be perceived without the grace of the True Master. |
Meaning
Here Baba Avtar Singh ji says that one is very fortunate and blessed if he knows the Formless One- Nirankar.
The one, who sings God’s praise after knowing Him, becomes free from the cycle of births and deaths. The wants and desires of human beings start reducing if he knows the Formless One- Nirankar. Then, the clothes he wears, the actions he does and the food he eats and drinks will be approved and not judged. All the pains and sorrows will end and his efforts will never be wasted. But those in the world who perform rituals have gone in the wrong direction because they don’t know the Truth (God).
Therefore, he conveys that The Formless One- Nirankar can be seen only with the blessings of the True Master.
